Mission Statement
The Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) is dedicated to the sport of amateur surfing, to the operation of a program of amateur competition for surfers of all ages and abilities, and to the establishment and preservation of free access to a clean shoreline and ocean environment. It was founded in 1967 by East Coast surfers to promote, preserve, and protect the sport of surfing on the East Coast.

Dutch has been surfing for the past 24 years. He has taught surf lessons, clinics, and camps for the past 12 years, and is currently the Eastern Surfing Association district director. Dutch is also the Volunteer Coordinator for the Broward County Chapter of Surfrider Foundation, and team manager at BC Surf and Sport in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is CPR Certified. Dutch has been competing in the ESA for the past 20 years and has been a Director for 10 of those years.
Kenny has been surfing for the past 19 years and Bodyboarding for the past 22 years. He is also CPR Certified. He started competing in the ESA back in 1994. He currently competes on the ESA tour in the Masters Division for Surfing. He also competes Professionally on the FBA and USBA Pro Bodyboard Tour. He just signed with Congo Bodyboards last year and has designed 3 of his own Pro Models for Congo Bodyboards. Each stamped with his signature monkey and KL Logos.
